Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Aback Chess (abackchess.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Aback Chess is a browser-first chess analysis platform. It provides an interactive board, game review, FEN and PGN tools, puzzles and training. Engine analysis runs on your own device, in the browser, so how fast and how deep it goes depends on that device. An account is optional; Pro is a paid plan that adds unlimited Deep review and a synced library.
Analysis is not perfect
Chess engine evaluation is analysis, not objective truth. Engine results can vary by depth, hardware, and version. Aback Chess does not guarantee that any evaluation, best move, or variation is correct or complete.
Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service: no automated flooding of the analysis API, no attempts to circumvent rate limits, no scraping at scale, and no use of the service to distribute malicious content. The analysis API is protected by rate limiting and may reject abusive traffic.
Your content
You retain ownership of the games and positions you import. You are responsible for the content you submit, including any PGN headers or comments it contains. You grant Aback Chess the limited right to process your content to provide the service.
Intellectual property
The Aback Chess software, design, and branding are owned by Aback Chess. Third-party components such as the chess rule library, fonts, and piece artwork remain the property of their respective owners; see the licenses page for attribution.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Aback Chess does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aback Chess is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
