About Game Review

Game Review goes through a whole game and grades every move. Paste a PGN or a link to a game on Chess.com or Lichess, and you get each player's accuracy, the moments that decided the game, and the better move wherever one was missed.

Move grades

Brilliant
A sound sacrifice: the best move or close to it, giving up material the opponent can take.
Great
The only good move, where the next best choice would have thrown away a lot.
Best and Excellent
The engine's own choice, or a move that loses almost nothing against it.
Book
A move that is still opening theory, so it is not graded as the player's own decision.
Inaccuracy, Mistake and Blunder
Moves that gave up ground, from a small slip to one that changes the result.
Miss and Missed win
A chance the opponent offered that was not taken, or a winning position that slipped away.

Fast and Deep review

Fast review is free and unlimited, and takes seconds. Deep review searches further for a more careful verdict on the critical moments; it needs an account, with three a day on the free plan and no limit on Pro.

Grades depend on the analysis

A grade comes from the engine's evaluation at a given depth, so a deeper search can change it. The review shows the evaluation behind every grade.

Practise what you missed

The positions where a better move was available become training positions, so you can find that move next time.
